📢 Now Seeking Consultants: UConn TAB Request for Qualifications/Request for Proposals
The University of Connecticut Technical Assistance to Brownfields (UConn TAB) program is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide on-call professional services supporting brownfield assessment, reuse, and redevelopment efforts across New England. Funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), UConn TAB works with communities, regional planning agencies, and nonprofits to advance the investigation, cleanup, and redevelopment of abandoned and potentially contaminated properties. This work helps protect public health, address environmental challenges, and create opportunities for community revitalization.
We are seeking proposals in two service areas:
🔹 Market Analysis and Feasibility Studies Services may include real estate market assessments, industry and sector demand analysis, highest and best use evaluations, economic development opportunity assessments, and redevelopment recommendations tailored to local market conditions.
🔹 Cost Estimating and Redevelopment Planning Support Services may include preliminary construction cost estimates, site preparation and infrastructure cost estimates, and cost comparisons for alternative redevelopment scenarios.
Firms may submit proposals for one or both service areas. Selected consultants will provide on-call support as needed for anticipated contract work from January 2027 through September 30, 2028, subject to contracting and vendor approval timelines.
