We hope our work and vision can be echoed to the next generation☘️ With this hope, we’re putting in more effort to connect with the future generation. As part of our engagement effort, UConn TAB staff Katie Malgioglio, LMSW and Hayley Clos, Ph.D. participated in the Explore Engineering Industry Day on July 18th! The Explore Engineering program is hosted by the UConn College of Engineering Vergnano Institute for Inclusion and provides high school students of all grades with the opportunity to learn about different majors in engineering and potential careers.

We presented about what brownfields are, what we do, and what careers they can find in the world of brownfield redevelopment. With a Q&A session and Brownfield Jeopardy Game that followed, the participating students learned about the field and the importance of protecting our environment and public health. We’ll continue making connections with our community to get them involved!
